European Technological Sovereignty: Jérôme Laplace Featured in Industrial Automation

Industrial automation BE

The Belgian magazine Industrial Automation, which specialises in industrial automation, robotics and emerging technologies, has published an opinion piece by Jérôme Laplace, CEO of Running Brains Robotics, in both its print and online editions, addressing the challenges of European technological sovereignty.

Entitled “Sovereignty Is Not Declared, It Is Built, Contract by Contract”, the article highlights the need for Europe to maintain control over its strategic technologies, particularly in robotics, artificial intelligence and the security of critical infrastructure.

Jérôme Laplace advocates a practical industrial approach based on the development and retention of technological expertise, control over system design and development, and the decisive role of public and private procurement decisions in building an independent and competitive European industry.

This publication in an international trade magazine provides Running Brains Robotics with an opportunity to share its vision of industrial sovereignty and contribute its expertise to discussions among European robotics and automation professionals.

We would like to thank the editorial team at Industrial Automation for publishing this article and highlighting these strategic challenges.
